Covid and nuclear, two weighty subjects and CTBTO Youth Group members who answered the call to address them have excelled.

Here are the results of the creative contest Atomic Reporters launched on behalf of the CTBTO youth group* as part of the newsroom project in April 2020 . We invited CYG members to use any medium they chose putting nuclear in the context of the corona pandemic.

CTBTO Executive Secretary Lassina Zerbo summed it up in a Kyodo news op-ed

. While the response to the virus has exposed how ill-prepared we were – nuclear weapons would offer no such possibilities and demand not mitigation but prevention.
