Atomic Reporters, together with the Odessa Center for Nonproliferation (OdCNP), and in cooperation with the Swedish Radiation Authority (SSM), invites you to join an online press briefing – Decoding the Budapest Memorandum: the 1994 Accord, Ukraine’s Non-Proliferation Path, and Current Tensions.
The briefing will feature Dr. Nikolai Sokov (Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation), Dr. Mariana Budjeryn (Project on Managing the Atom at Harvard), and Dr. Polina Sinovets (OdCNP). The panelists will address the history of Ukraine’s nuclear disarmament, the Budapest Memorandum and its significance for the nuclear non-proliferation regime, as well as its relevance to current tensions between Russia and NATO.
